    That was pretty funny.

    Historical singularities might be diffused by non-linear effects.

    The critical ingredient, it seems to me, is enough freedom to allow multiple civilization scripts to run in parallel.

    Totalitarian systems are aided by gravity-confinement (planets).

      Yeah… that was an imaginary conversation between me, and alternate-civilization-script-me. Of course you caught the reference to good ol’ Jonathan Coulton.

      And that last one, “Totalitarian systems are aided by gravity-confinement”– that’s a good soundbite.
